Model for Developing a Multicultural Islamic Religious Education Curriculum in Islamic Higher Education

<p class="06IsiAbstrak">This study aims to determine the importance of implementing multicultural education and strategies in developing multicultural-based Islamic religious (PAI) curriculum Undergraduate Religious Education Study Program Faculty Tarbiyah Teacher Sciences (FTIK), IAIN Salatiga. This qualitative research used observation, interview, documentation methods. The results uncovered that is crucial for students. lecturer's strategy learning process was adjusted curriculum. Also, there a evaluation by opening up students' thinking insights student potential through expanding knowledge on contemporary issues. instilling include (1) fostering noble morals inter-religious harmony; (2) carried out comprehensively; (3) lecturers implemented values both lectures off-campus activities; (4) building teamwork involving stakeholders; (5) development model conducted subject matter curriculum; (6) institutional support development. Implementing Salatiga, can be real solution heterogeneous or plural conflicts as preventive effort undergoing socio-cultural problems.<strong></strong></p>
